A New Series on the Book of Ephesians
Feb 10, 2010
In Acts 20 Paul says his final farewell to the Ephesian elders. Paul loved this church deeply and he knew that the future would not be easy for them. He knew that the church would be constantly confronted with attacks on their faith. Knowing this he still said goodbye. As he left he commended them “To God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are being sanctified.” Years later Paul wrote the book of Ephesians from a Roman prison. The book of Ephesians is “a word of God’s grace.” It is a word for the church about the immeasurable grace of our majestic God. A grace that is beyond anything we could ever ask or imagine and yet it is a grace that is meant to radically affect our everyday lives. Ephesians is a book that takes you to the heavenlies to show you how to live on earth. I can’t wait to study this book together. It is a majestic and glorious book because it describes a majestic and glorious God. I pray that as we study it together God might give us the strength to “comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth of the love of our Savior Jesus Christ.” Oh how desperately we need to know this love. I promise you that you will never find anything like it in this world. Please, come and join us to hear about our beautiful savior and how his love changes everything.
