Fighting Our Fears

Fears have the tendency to lead us astray from our All Powerful, All Satisfying God. In this sermon we will hear how God is trustworthy, and how He keeps His promises. No matter what situation we are in, God has allowed it to happen, and we have a promise keeping God that will always come through for His glory and our best interest. In the story of Abraham and Abimelech, we see how fear caused Abraham to lack trust in God. Nevertheless, despite Abraham's lack of faith, our promise keeping God kept his promises.

Jesus' Third Temptation in the Wilderness

What things of this world and in ourselves do we cling to? What tempts us to avoid the call to take up our cross? In this sermon we will look at Jesus' last temptation from Satan, where Satan offered all the kingdoms of the world to Jesus if he would just avoid the cross. We will see that through the death on the cross, glory and salvation was obtained by our precious Savior, a glory that was eternal and more satisfying than this world has to offer.

Jesus' second temptation in the desert

What is the difference between finding satisfaction in the world and finding satisfaction in God? The satisfactions of this world are temporal and leave us insecure; leaving us wanting more. But the satisfaction of our God is eternal and does not pass away. In this sermon we will see how God's pleasure satisfies us in eternal, and spiritual ways, far different than the physical comforts that this world has to offer.
