Stories 21Aug10

I think the sleepless nights are getting to Aaron.  He woke up in the middle of the night and shoved my legs and pointed at me and yelled, “Your such a jerk Tim.”  I knew that wasn’t like Aaron at all so I went out on a limb and said, “Dude, it was all a dream, I have been sleeping here the whole time.”  Finally he realized that it was a dream, but there was definitely some uncomfortable moments while I waited for him to decide if it was a dream or ...

Looking for Rest 18Aug10

The Truth and The Lie

Christ has come and redeemed us to a new life. Christ is the truth and has purchased us through his cross to bring us to a life of truth. In our fallen flesh, there still linger the battle for the truth to be manifest in our lives. When we fail to see the beauty of Christ redemptive purpose, we feel that we may have to lie. Lies are very power, they create an alternate reality that we feel we have to control. But when we rest in Christ there is no longer the need to lie. In this sermon we will see that Christ reigns supreme and relying on his truth is the only way to true glory.

Jesus Saves Us From Our Homelessness

During Pastor Tim's time on the streets he could not stop thinking about how our glorious Savior came from his perfect home. Christ came from the highest place, he came down from eternity to be here with his creation as a man. In this sermon Pastor Tim shares his experience of the time he spent on the streets of El Cajon and displays the true character of Christ who comes to make a home for all of us who are eternally homeless.

Sanctification in the Body

How are we growing in Christ? Are we establishing ourselves as Christians only through our personal studies, our personal prayers, or our own "personal relationships" with God. In this sermon we will that all our prayers, all our studies, and our relationship with God is supposed to manifested through the body of Christ. Pastor Tim shows the glorious splendor of working out our salvation through the body of Christ; being a Word-Centered people that are transformed by these glorious truths in the body.
