The Restoring Power of God's Steadfast Love

The book of Nehemiah is about more than just rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem. In fact, the book is really about God restoring a people dedicated to worshiping him. In Nehemiah 12 we find a restored people celebrating and worshiping God on top of restored walls, and we see a shadow of what eternity will be like for all of God's people: a restored people celebrating in a restored world for the glory of God. What is so beautiful about the book of Nehemiah is it shows us how God restores his people. He restores them by revealing himself to be the God of steadfast love. Are you tired, burdened, anxious, angry, or depressed? If you need to be restored, then this message is for you. It is the story about the steadfast love of God which alone is able to restore his people and give them hope in the midst of this difficult and trying world.
