Social Justice
Kaleo Social Action Mission Statement:
We exist to reach every culture and race with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to train them to do the work of the ministry.
We intend to accomplish this by creating an awareness, within the body of Kaleo, of local and global needs, both spiritual and physical; creating opportunities for people at Kaleo to engage in meaningful ministries and projects that would glorify God in these areas.
Physical needs= Food, clothing, housing, medical supplies and any peaceful means of alleviating social injustice.
Spiritual needs= Spreading the Gospel through culturally relevant evangelism and discipleship.
The Kaleo Social Action Committee currently has four objectives:
1. Support community efforts to aid those in need of housing, clothing, food and medical care, without discriminating on the basis of gender, race, sexual orientation, or religious belief.
2. Make our people aware of ongoing ministries in the community and within the church.
3. Create opportunities locally and globally for aid and evangelism
4. To bolster depressed areas by resourcing the local church leadership through training and book/literature/bible distribution. (This would include sending our equipped leadership to the inner city, and to other countries to help teach biblical theology, ethics, and apologetics to leadership in areas where training is not as accessible.)
